Are you ready for new beginnings?

The majority of the time I have found that many things in life will not change unless you do. Life is complex and is by no means easy for anyone as we all have to find our way and press forward. Though you might have laser focus life comes at us on every side with a myriad of challenges, failures, and disappointments. And this is why we need faith because we have to see what will be and not be bothered by our present circumstances. If we knew everything that would happen and if life was easy as blinking our eyes we wouldn't need faith.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. - Hebrews 11:1

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” - Romans 1:17

But this journey we call life requires faith in God and His word so that we do not give up in the middle of tests and trials and the storms that blow our way. Life can knock the wind out of us but it is our faith that gives us something to hold on to no matter how things look through our natural eyes. A lack of faith and doubting will cripple the power of faith and as believers, we should never ask (pray) and have doubt in our hearts. It is easier said than done but we have to keep believing knowing that our breakthrough is on the horizon.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. - Hebrews 11:6

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31

Yesterday, I was sitting to myself, and "new beginnings" just began to ring in my spirit. I knew this was for me and it was so personal, so necessary, and so on time. But I knew at that moment that new seasons can come and go but to maximize these new seasons we must change our thinking. We can miss the very thing we are waiting for if we do not line our minds up with the Word of God. I know when people think of new beginnings they think of January 1st using a calendar but thinking like that can cause us to miss what is happening and what God is trying to do in our lives.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. - Isaiah 43:19

A new season requires a new mindset!!! That statement is so important if you are tired of being stuck, stagnant, and sitting idle on the sidelines. Many feel their prayers are going unheard and unanswered but nothing is impossible with God.

For nothing will be impossible with God.-Luke 1:37

Sometimes in our frustration, we blame the Lord for what is not going right. But in some cases, we need to put works with our faith. Do you get what I am saying? Sometimes the solutions we need to move our life forward are very practical but we must know who and what we need to best move forward.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.- James 2:26

Below is a list of different types of people/services you might need to get your life to that fruitful place that you know God has for you.

  1. If you are dealing with mental health issues or even marriage and family issues I recommend you find a professional mental health counselor. Please reach out to Faith Solutions to Mental Health for providers near you. https://faithsolutions2mentalhealth.org/

  2. I always tell people you can not give your best if you are not your best! Meaning you have to deal with your mental health. In the church world, we are notorious for trying to praise our way out of things that require professional mental health services. We know that praise confuses the enemy but we also know that counseling is good for the soul.

  3. If you are trying to reach a specific level of mastery for academia, business, or other vocational goals I recommend finding a mentor that has the expertise and has accomplished what you are striving to do in the future.

  4. If you are trying to make progress in a specific area of your life you might need a life coach

  5. If you have a business and do not know how to move forward I recommend a strategist

  6. If you have an invention or something that needs a trademark or patent I recommend you FIRST reach out to a legal professional (attorney) to protect your idea.

  7. If you want to grow financially I recommend financial literacy or even a financial planner

  8. If you want to lose weight I recommend a nutritionist and exercise

  9. If you want to get physically fit I recommend a personal trainer and the right meal plans for you

  10. If you are being overlooked in the career field of your choice you might need a professional resume and cover letter, interview coaching, a mentor, and in some cases more education or certification.

  11. If you want to learn something very VERY specific I recommend a class, masterclass, course, or training (How to launch a t-shirt business, How to create courses that sell, What you need to start a non-profit organization, etc)

  12. If you want to learn new things in your area of expertise I recommend a conference, symposium, or even a summit (Business conference, mental health conference, etc)

  13. If you simply want to learn a new hobby (i.e. painting, gardening, canning) you can take a course but you can also start with books, YouTube tutorials, etc

  14. Most importantly if you want to be a disciple of Jesus Christ I recommend you get a church home and a pastor so that you can grow and fellowship with other believers.

My point is many times we need to get the right help to get the right results!! Are you ready for new beginnings? I hope we are all prepared naturally and spiritually for our new season!
