Babylon, The American Church & Emerging Leaders

Babylon is a word that means mixture or confusion. Some even define the word Babylon as confusion by mixture. Babylon unfortunately has become a very dominant spirit operating in the American Church. For several decades now the Western church on a large scale has been absent of God's power and declining in influence. When God and His power are absent from a church you will find leaders resort to all type of antics to appease the carnal and fleshly demands of the congregation. Not only are the people in the church confused and clueless but so are the leaders. Many pastors are going to extreme measures to draw a crowd and keep the pews filled. This by any means necessary attitude is why we see people in a church setting twerking, stepping to George Clinton & The Funkadelics and bringing in every unclean thing from the world. This mixing of "church culture" and the "world" is causing much confusion and many people can not decipher the anointing from talent, deliverance from emotion, holiness from "religion", or hype from substance. Listed below are several things that have contributed to a strong Babylon like culture in the church. 1. Skewed faith: It is no secret that over a few decades tele-evangelists and profits (prophets) have convinced people to use faith to believe God for material things or use faith to sow a large monetary offering in order to receive God's blessings and favor. Sadly, most people don't realize faith is the currency of heaven and what we should use to receive from God. In fact because of grace through our faith we are saved. When we receive the Holy Spirit it is because we have faith. Faith is what is needed to heal the sick, perform miracles, and even raise the dead. Unfortunately the American church lost interest and cease healing the sick and stopped raising the dead when we shifted the focus to having church and raising an offering. Romans 10:17 - So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1 Corinthians 2:5 - That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 2. No power: Many of our modern Western churches could put "Ichabod" right on the door because God is not there and sadly in some cases they don't realize that HE never was. We have lost our advantage in the church which is the gift of the Holy Spirit. We have wasted decades trying to empower people that have yet to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is what empowers believers to do the work of the Lord and flow in the gifts of the Spirit. A lack of Spirit-filled people is why there is no deliverance to bring people out of addiction, perversion, mental illness, and every other form of bondage. We have allowed people to praise break all over the church week after week with absolutely no change and no breakthrough in their life. For many years we have grown accustomed to watching people die of sickness and we have created a sick and shut-in list instead of doing as the Word commands and that is to HEAL the sick. Acts 1:5 -for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

Ephesians 5:18 - And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

Acts 1:8 - but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

Acts 2:4 - And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.

Acts 19:6 - And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 3. No Concept of Kingdom: Where there is no concept of the Kingdom of God we tend to integrate the kingdoms of man into the church. In other words we are trying to building ministries the same way the world established businesses. People have become preoccupied with building their own kingdoms and empires in the earth. We can no longer lean on the knowledge of man and man made systems instead of seeking the heart of the Father. Having no concept of Kingdom is why leaders would rather have multiple mansions and planes instead of opening up financial institutions, hospitals, schools and employment opportunities which will allow the church to function, thrive and operate based on biblical principles outside of relying on the world. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 4. No Discipleship: Discipleship is a word that I rarely hear today but this is what God told us to go and make. We are to make disciples that are learned of God, His Word and that understand the Gospel of the Kingdom and that have been empowered to be sent out to do the work of the Lord. It is mind boggling that people will sit in church for decades and not know their gifts or what God created them to do. The church has been so busy making fans, followers, servants, and flunkies that we have failed on a large scale to simply disciple God's people. Its time to stop indoctrinating people with "church", legalism, man-made traditions and just keep them busy. I have seen people that are kept busy with carrying their leaders briefcase, picking up their laundry, and serving them but have yet to connect with HIM. Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 5. No Word: It is scary how many people are "preaching" to congregations when at best they are motivational speakers. These people have mastered the ability to say what people want to hear and what best will manipulate people to blindly follow. The number of people that have platformed themselves due to "sheep" with itching ears is mind boggling. We have come to a point where many people can quote their favorite preacher but can't quote 5 scriptures from the written word of God which is why people are so easily deceived. It is time to see the power of God's Word manifest in the lives of His people. II Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths

I Timothy 4:1-2 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 6. God is not Welcome: In America there is insurmountable number of "churches" where God is simply not welcome. Many under the guise of the "Christian" faith have created a materialistic, bloodless, and powerless gospel that appeases the carnal appetites of man. We have used the "love" of God to overthrow His standards and guidelines. Even the Word shows us that Jesus would tell people to go and sin no more. But sin has been replaced with issues and deliverance has been replaced with acceptance. Songs are sung that talk more about man than God and the sermons are all about making people feel good with little to no reference on the risen King and his Kingdom. These type of antics are causing people to reject the "real" gospel. II TImothy 3:1-7 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

II Corinthians 11:4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. 7. Compromise: Compromise is one of the easiest ways to blur the lines. This is what keeps people trying to constantly see how far they can go before getting a response. The spirit of compromise has been allowed to hide under "don't judge and judge not" but sadly most of the people quoting this fail to read the rest of the chapter or any other scriptures for the most part. We are constantly trying to "push" the envelope to be known as out the box, cutting-edge or non-churchy. The emphasis has to be put more on pleasing God and not man. Hebrews 10:26 - For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Romans 12:1-2 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

James 4:17 - So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. 8. Platforming the fallen and broken: The church is the only institution that has so much confusion in regards to leadership standards and integrity. I have seen fortune 500 companies fire CEO's due to their position and the need to protect the reputation of the company. We will watch a leader fall into complete error, mental health issues, herecy, and sin while using the Word to defend them. This is the reason so many fallen and broken leaders cannot receive deliverance, healing or even be restored in to right standing with God because no matter what they do or say people will applaud them and protect them. No one should EVER be blocked from receiving God's love but not everyone should be platformed and have a voice in the house of the Lord. Matthew 7:16-20 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ Emerging Leaders With all that is happening in the church today there should be no second-guess as to why God is changing the guards and raising up and releasing Emerging Leaders who are going against the grain of Babylon and her demonic systems that have caused rampant sin, wickedness, and transgression to become normalized and platformed in the body of Christ. Babylon and her systems will fall and God and His Kingdom agenda shall advance. The finest hour of the church is upon us now!!!! Isaiah 51:20 -You are my battle-axe and weapons of war: for with you will I break in pieces the nations, and with you will I destroy kingdoms;
